Facelift
Facelift surgery is carried out in a similar fashion to that described in the ‘Facial Surgery’ section, but men seeking this surgery should be aware of a number of features specific to male Facelifts.
Men often do not request facelifts for vanity reasons but usually because they feel they look older than they are. In this instance, a subtle enhancement is required rather than a dramatic result. Men do not, commonly, request neck lifts for similar reasons.
The incisions in men follow similar lines but as the excess facial skin is removed, the sideburns are moved backwards and/or partly removed. This means that the narrow area of hairless skin directly in front of the ear, behind the sideburn, may be lost. The alternative is to have a scar running in front of this hairless area, but this will narrow the sideburns.
Because of the difficult nature of this surgery, you should carefully discuss your requirements with Mr Price at your consultation.
